In 2024, I freelanced with the University of Sydney Union, working alongside two in-house designers on a wide range of projects. As Australia’s oldest student union, the organisation celebrated its 150th year while continuing its mission to connect students through diverse initiatives, events, and programs. Earlier that year, I had the privilege of contributing to campaigns for Welcome Fest 2024, Australia’s largest student festival. This three-day calendar event, held each February before semester begins, brings students together to meet one another, join clubs, enjoy live music, take part in icebreaker activities, and immerse themselves in campus life. Beyond large-scale event campaigns, my work extended into developing corporate identity documents and designing sub-brand identities for different arms of the organisation. Traditionally represented by a core yellow-and-black palette, USU sought to refresh its branding with a more playful and diverse look and feel - one that better resonates with today’s generation of students.
